This is the website for the local campaign group “Save The Countryside” which aims to oppose the plans to build 5000 new homes as part of an urban extension to the North-West of Cheltenham on the Greenbelt. This urban extension adjoins Swindon Village, consisting of only 1000 houses. The group is non-party political and is composed of local residents who are all volunteers.

The group will spread leaflets to raise awareness, organise a petition and put pressure the local MPs, councillors and the government. As much as this website might make us look “professional” we aren’t!, we are a small group of only a handful of activists and need your help, please contact us if you can help with any of our work.
